Working within the fashion and beauty business, I get to try and test a lot of products that I would normally never even hear about. In the past I used to wear ONE foundation day in day out and that was literally it. Now that I’m older and wiser, I select from a few favorites that I know work with my skin and choose them depending on the condition of my skin, the weather or even how I’m feeling. Here are a list of the ones I really loved this year.
Armani Neo Nude Fusion Powder Foundation.
Color: 2 and 3 mixed
I got sent this mineral foundation out by the lovely team in Armani and thought it would be the perfect makeup while I was away in humid weather in New York. But I started using it and just could NOT stop, as it’s absolutely fab! I use it regularly, especially when my skin is dry or irritated as it doesn’t sink into any of my little creases. I also love that it’s a press powder so really easy to use on the go. It almost appears like you are wearing liquid foundation as it has great coverage with no harsh lines. Such a gorgeous product.
YSL All Hours Foundation Stick
Color: Cool Ivory and Almond mixed. I also use color Amber as a contour.
This was a new launch by the genius people behind YSL. I’m ALL about foundation sticks they are SO HANDY for while you are on the go. No liquid, no spillage, no fuss. These are like mini sticks too so perfect for the handbag but last ages. Even though it’s ina stick form, it’s very creamy and glides into the skin with a dewy effect.
Bella Pierre Mineral Foundation
Color: Cinnamon and Ivory mixed
I’ve been using this foundation for years now and it’s a total fail-safe. Gives a fabulous dewy effect even if I’m having a bad skin day and has great coverage for a mineral foundation. It’s made with natural ingredients so doesn’t clog your pores or damage your skin. Every time I go back to this foundation in my makeup bag I’m so delighted with the results. Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick
Color: Cream
Absolutely love this foundation and I have been wearing it regularly for over a year now. It gives a gorgeous dewy look to my skin which I love, as I usually have dry skin so brilliant for winter months coming up. It is very versatile foundation, as you can apply a sheer, medium or full coverage depending on your preference but never gives that “caked on” look, instead it gives more of a “barely being there” illusion. How fab! Even though it’s a little on the pricey end, I actually get months and months out of it so worth every penny. I know I’m going to be using this one for years to come.
Mac Studio fix n37 mixed with Armani Luminous Silk color 6.5
This duo mixed together is my night out out foundation go-to combo. I discovered it while getting my makeup done by a MUA (which is one of the best ways to test out different foundations.) Its super long wearing so perfect for partying the night away. It can be a bit heavy on the skin so I would stay away from this for during the day.
